The story begins with a rather uncomfortable scene where Mia asks Jacob to pass her underwear while she is in the shower. Amelia, Jacob's wife, tries to maintain appropriate boundaries and offers to get it herself, but Jacob insists on doing it. When Amelia enters the bathroom with the underwear, Mia is shocked to see her instead of Jacob.

As the story unfolds, we see that Mia is quite dependent on Jacob. She asks him to wash her undergarments, and during dinner, their behavior is overly affectionate, with Mia sitting very close to Jacob, putting her legs on his, and asking him to peel shrimp for her. Amelia finds this behavior inappropriate, but Jacob and his mother seem to think it's normal due to their close childhood relationship.

At night, things take a more extreme turn when Mia claims to be scared of a ghost in her room and climbs into Jacob and Amelia's bed, insisting on sleeping with them. Amelia is furious and voices her objections, but Jacob tries to calm her down and asks for her understanding.

In the morning, Amelia has to deal with the sight of her sister-in-law clinging to Jacob in a revealing state. Later, on their first wedding anniversary, Amelia has planned a photo shoot, but Mia wants to join, creating more tension and conflict in the story.
