In the wake of a new year's visit from her long-absent parents, Angel's life takes a nightmarish turn. Her father, Hudson Nelson, and mother, Lucia Nelson, are confronted by a masked man named Venom and his two accomplices. Venom, seething with vengeance, brutally tortures and kills Hudson before Lucia meets a similar fate.
