Aurora, a name that often conjures up images of the beautiful and mysterious aurora borealis in the polar skies. But here, it represents a character filled with a sense of vengeance. In a world where wrongs have been committed against her or those she holds dear, Aurora embarks on a journey of retribution. It's a path that may be fraught with danger and moral dilemmas, yet she is resolute. With each step she takes, her vendetta unfolds, and the consequences of her actions ripple through the lives of those around her, painting a complex and gripping tale of anger, justice, and the price one pays for seeking revenge.

1. Aurora's Determination for Revenge

Aurora was seething with rage as she declared, "I want revenge for the death of my parents." Her eyes blazed with a mixture of fury and a tinge of fear at the decision she had firmly made. When asked what she meant by having revenge, she replied with unwavering determination, "I can't think of anything else to do, Uncle. The thirst for revenge burns within me, and it won't be quenched even though it all happened in the past."

Her uncle Lorenzo, however, vehemently opposed her plan. "You can't have any revenge and you won't. This isn't the right time," he said. But Aurora was resolute. "No! Uncle. There is no way I'm going to let the death of my parents slide. Those people made me an orphan, and even though they aren't alive to face the consequences as I'd have wanted, their sons will pay for it." Her fingers clenched into tight fists, and her face turned a deep shade of red as she spat out the words.

The truth about her parents' death, which Lorenzo had revealed to her the previous day, had set her on this path. The memory of the story filled her with boiling anger, and she was consumed by the desire to take matters into her own hands and exact vengeance. Although Aldo Moretti and his wife were dead, she was determined that their sons would bear the brunt of her wrath.

2. Leaving for New York

Lorenzo tried to dissuade her, snapping, "No, principessa. You are a woman and you should concern yourself with getting married, raising kids and pleasing your husband. Not going on some revenge mission like your life depends on it." But Aurora was unyielding. "Unfortunately, my life depends on what I'm about to do. There's no way I can live like a normal human knowing that my innocent parents are still stirring restlessly in their graves. My decision is final and I'm leaving for New York next week." Her jaw ticked with absolute resolve, indicating that nothing he could say would change her mind.

As she stood in front of her uncle's house for the last time, she took in the familiar sight. Her eyes lingered on the flowers that adorned the porch and the white frangipani trees planted in a straight line. She remembered how the vanilla scent of their flowers had always made her feel a sense of completeness. But now, the beautiful bungalow that had been her home would no longer be.

She had finally found a way to convince her uncle to let her embark on her revenge mission. She believed it was necessary for her sanity and to honor her late parents, whose deaths she still considered unjust and trivial. "Promise me you'll be fine, Principessa," Lorenzo tugged at her arm like a child, visibly struggling to control his emotions. They were both strong individuals who had taught themselves not to show their feelings, but Aurora could sense his concern. "I'll be fine, uncle and I promise to text you everyday," she assured him as she loaded the last box into the car.

They hugged, and Aurora savored the moment, knowing she was taking a significant risk. If Matteo were to find out her true intentions, he would never forgive her. "If things spiral out of your control, please come back home," Lorenzo pleaded. "Sure thing," Aurora said as she pulled away and got into the 2018 Toyota Mirai that would take her to the airport.

 3. Arriving at the Capo's Mansion

Three hours later, Aurora was on her way to the Capo's mansion in a luxurious limousine, courtesy of her uncle's arrangements to ensure her comfort. As the vehicle drew closer to the mansion, her anxiety grew. She wondered how she would handle being in the presence of the man who reminded her of her parents' killers.

The chauffeur navigated a narrow bend and drove straight ahead. Aurora gazed at the sight of high-rise buildings interspersed with some bungalows. "We have arrived, Signorina," the chauffeur announced in Italian. Aurora opened the car door and stepped out to face a huge, imposing house. She noticed that, unlike the other buildings they had passed, the Capo's house was secluded from prying eyes.

The chauffeur brought her medium-sized box and a bag and offered to carry them into the house. "No, sir. I don't want to be a bother. I can take care of myself," Aurora refused politely with a bow. The chauffeur smiled kindly and drove away, leaving her to face her fate. Her heart pounded faster, and she almost considered changing her mind as the reality of what she was about to do dawned on her.

The gate opened, and a hefty man with an emotionless face stood by. "Good evening, Miss. The Capo's brother awaits you inside," he announced with a slight Italian accent, then took Aurora's box and walked ahead while she followed.

The mansion was a sight to behold, yet it seemed to scream of ill-gotten wealth. The lawns were decorated with various flowers she couldn't identify, and a pool was located at the far end of the building. Aurora stopped staring and quickened her pace to keep up with the man, not wanting to lose her way.
