Devon and Daemon are the male and female protagonists in the novel *The Billionaire Mafia's Wife*. In this novel, Devon is the daughter of Gestoni Farrows, the leader of a mafia family, a young woman eager for freedom and the pursuit of her own life. Daemon is the cold - blooded leader of a rival mafia organization, known for his toughness and decisiveness in the underworld. *The Billionaire Mafia's Wife* tells the story of how Devon, in order to escape the fate of being forced to marry Joffrey by her father, seeks help from Daemon, leading to a series of entanglements between the two.

Devon's life is fully arranged by her family without any freedom. Her father, an important figure in the mafia family, is determined to strengthen the family's power through her marriage, so he decides to marry her off to Joffrey. Joffrey, a loyal friend of her father, has a reputation for being cruel, and his interest in Devon stems more from her appearance, which makes Devon feel extremely disgusted.

At first, Devon was forced to agree to this marriage because her father threatened to harm her best friend Ariane. However, after Ariane's tragic death, she completely lost the reason to compromise. Her mother, Melena, tried to persuade her to accept the marriage, believing it was not a bad thing and even mentioned Joffrey's liking for her. But in Devon's heart, there was only fear and resistance. She clearly knew about Joffrey's despicable deeds and was unwilling to become his wife.

After a fierce conflict with her mother, Devon decides to flee. She contacts her friend Elise and starts packing her bags, ready to run away. She is well aware that going against her father's will will bring serious punishment, but compared to marrying Joffrey, she is willing to take the risk. During her escape, she thinks of Daemon, the rival mafia leader of her father. Although the two have never really met, Devon feels that he might be her savior.

So, she comes to Daemon's territory. The guards at the entrance initially stop her. It is not until she takes out the ring with the family logo that she is allowed to enter. After meeting Daemon, Devon summons up her courage and asks him to take her in. However, Daemon puts forward a harsh condition: she must bear him a son in order to get his protection. This request shocks Devon so much that she can't accept such a deal easily, so she temporarily returns home.

As the wedding date approaches, Devon's fear grows day by day. At the engagement party held by her father for her, Joffrey's words and actions make her feel sick. She tries to resist but is severely reprimanded by her father and ignored by her mother. She feels abandoned by the whole world and is filled with despair.

On the wedding day, Devon waits for the judgment of fate in despair. Just when she thinks she can't escape, Ariane suddenly appears. It turns out that Ariane didn't die. She was saved by the leader of the Ferrol family and this time she comes to save Devon. Ariane gives Devon a device that can cause a small explosion, planning to create chaos in the church to help her escape.

However, something unexpected happens. When Devon enters the church as planned and presses the button, there is no explosion. Just as she is panicking, the church is suddenly attacked. A group of Men in Black break in, causing chaos. Devon takes the opportunity to escape but gets into trouble during the escape. At a critical moment, Ariane appears and saves her. Unfortunately, Ariane is shot and injured during the escape.

Just when Devon doesn't know what to do, Daemon appears on a motorcycle. He proposes the previous deal to Devon again. In despair, Devon weighs the pros and cons and finally agrees to his condition. Thus, Devon marries Daemon and becomes the wife of the mafia leader.
