"Contract Marriage; Fated Love" is a modern romance novel full of drama and romance. The story unfolds amidst the hustle and bustle of a bustling city and the hidden entanglements of wealthy families. The male protagonist, Noah Harper, is the CEO of the powerful Blackwood Towers. With a cold and aloof appearance and a dominant personality, he exudes dignity and detachment in every gesture. As the most eligible bachelor in the city, however, due to the trauma deep in his heart, he is resistant to love and marriage. The female protagonist, Emily Grant, is only 21 years old, but fate has been particularly cruel to her. The indifference and betrayal of her family follow her like a shadow. Just as she is about to step into the marriage hall with Jayden Mason, she unexpectedly discovers her fiancé's betrayal, and her life instantly hits rock bottom.
As the story progresses to Chapter 6, Emily wakes up from that chaotic night spent with Noah, only to find that she has lost her virginity and is embroiled in a scandal with this powerful CEO. When Noah sees the news headline "Noah Harper, the Gay CEO of Blackwood Towers, in Bed with a Strange Woman", his anger ignites instantly. He firmly believes that Emily deliberately set up a scheme to frame him and is determined to find her and punish her severely.
At 37 Wales Street, Noah finds Emily being harassed by her family. Her pitiful appearance fails to arouse the slightest bit of pity in him; instead, it only fuels his anger. He roughly questions Emily, accuses her of the conspiracy, and then astonishingly demands that she marry him to salvage his damaged reputation. Emily is shocked and insists that she was drugged and is innocent, but Noah doesn't believe her at all.
At the same time, upon learning of the scandal between Emily and Noah, Emily's family is thrown into a panic. They had originally counted on her marrying into the Mason family to obtain wealth and status. Now that their plan has fallen through, they hurl abuse at her, forcing her to apologize to Jayden and fix the situation. Just then, Noah appears. In an authoritative tone, he orders Emily's family to stay away from her and then takes her away.
Back at home, Emily tries to explain her innocence to Noah again, but Noah still scoffs at her and only emphasizes the two - year marriage contract they have signed. The contract stipulates that Emily must obey his orders and not damage the image of him or his family. After two years, she must completely disappear from his life. In order to escape her painful family and obtain financial security, Emily finally signs this contract that will change her fate.
After that, they go to the Civil Affairs Bureau to register their marriage. At the Civil Affairs Bureau, Noah jumps the queue by virtue of his power, which makes Emily dissatisfied and feel that he is abusing his power. After getting the marriage certificate, Emily's boss calls and fires her. However, Noah reminds her that the contract includes provisions for providing her with a job, which gives her some relief.
When going back home to pack her things, Jayden storms in, accusing them of ruining his plan and threatening to destroy the Grant family. Emily's family, however, distorts the truth and shifts the blame onto her. At this critical moment, Noah appears again, comes to Emily's rescue, and takes her away from that home filled with painful memories.
In this chapter full of surprises and entanglements, the fates of Emily and Noah are closely intertwined. One is a poor girl toyed with by fate, and the other is a domineering CEO bound by past traumas.
