The story unfolds with Rachel, who, after receiving a business card from a lady she helped at the city mall, calls the number and is asked to wait at a certain place. There, she witnesses a dramatic scene between Zech and Becky. Becky confesses her love to Zech, but he coldly rejects her, showing no mercy. Rachel can't help but express her thoughts on Zech's heartlessness.

By chance, Rachel discovers that the person she's been in contact with is Vincent, and she's offered a job at Zech's company, OLIVER'S PERFUME, which specializes in unique perfumes. On her first day at work, she accidentally bumps into Zech. To her surprise, she's appointed as Zech's personal assistant, a position she's reluctant to accept due to his cold - hearted impression.

At the company, Zech and Vincent are aware of a mole leaking information to their competitor, Mr James. They set a trap, and when they catch Mr Chris, a middle - aged man, Rachel steps forward. She claims that she can make up for the lost perfume caused by Mr Chris's betrayal. Despite the doubts of others, she promises to complete a signature perfume in two days.

Back at Zech's home, Zech shows a different side when he cooks and shares his food with the cook, Mrs Vivian. Meanwhile, Rachel struggles in her perfume - developing room. After several failures, she finally creates a wonderful - smelling perfume by accident when her blood stains the vanilla root she uses in the formula.

However, on the day she presents the perfume to Zech, it turns out to be a disaster. The perfume has a foul smell, and everyone is disappointed. Lydia accuses Rachel of trying to embarrass Zech, and Zech, in anger, orders her to leave. Rachel is heartbroken, and she runs away before she can explain, with Vincent trying to calm Zech down. The story ends on a cliffhanger, leaving the readers wondering about Rachel's future and the real reason behind the perfume's failure.
