In that instant, Elsie made her choice. She looked at Godfrey and said, "It's too late. I can't go back to the way things were. I need to find myself again, and I can't do that with you." With those words, she got up from the table, leaving behind the flowers and the false promises.　

Elsie walked out of the restaurant with a newfound sense of determination. She was ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities that awaited her.
