Elsie's life takes a tragic turn when she experiences a miscarriage. Just three weeks after the surgery, during a follow-up check-up with her husband Godfrey, he abandons her abruptly. As she watches him leave in a hurry, a sense of meaninglessness creeps into their marriage.

Godfrey claims to have something important to do and asks Elsie to go home alone. However, she spots his car at the hospital entrance later and sees a woman in a white dress getting out of it. To make matters worse, Godfrey's first love, Sirena, posts an update on Instagram, flaunting Godfrey's care for her. It becomes clear that Sirena, who was his childhood sweetheart and had returned after a failed marriage abroad, still holds a special place in his heart, and Elsie was perhaps just a substitute.

Elsie starts to question her relationship. She no longer caters to Godfrey's every need as she used to. When he complains about not being woken up, not finding his clothes, and the lack of an ironed shirt and breakfast, Elsie simply tells him to handle it himself. An opportunity for overseas training arises at work, and Elsie, determined to break free from her foolish devotion, readily agrees.

Godfrey seems oblivious to Elsie's changing attitude. He continues to involve himself with Sirena, even going on a trip with her to Chicago, as evidenced by Sirena's Instagram post and the matching location he sent Elsie. Elsie, in response, takes off her wedding ring.

But then, on their wedding anniversary, Godfrey shows up to pick Elsie from work, seemingly oblivious to the fact that he has been neglecting her and their relationship. He tries to make amends by taking her to a luxurious restaurant and promising to cut ties with Sirena. However, just as Elsie is about to accept the flowers from the waiter, Godfrey's phone rings, and he is once again drawn into a situation related to Sirena.

This story is a heart-wrenching exploration of a woman's journey through the pain of miscarriage, the discovery of her husband's betrayal, and her struggle to find herself and decide the fate of her marriage.
