The story follows Elle, a werewolf orphan, and Damon, the future Alpha of the New Moon Pack. Elle's pack was attacked by rogues, and she was the only survivor. Alpha Charles and Luna Olivia rescued her and brought her into their pack. Damon immediately disliked Elle and treated her poorly, imposing many restrictions on her. Despite this, Elle thrived with the support of the Alpha and Luna, who provided her with training, a beautiful room, and everything she needed.

As Elle grew older, the Luna planned to take her shopping in the city for a dress for Damon's birthday ball, which also seemed to be an opportunity to introduce Elle to other Alphas. Damon, who had been away at Alpha training, was excited to return home, partly because of his wolf Slade's obsession with Elle. He learned about his parents' plans for Elle and was angry, not wanting her to be with another Alpha.

When Damon returned home, he found himself drawn to Elle's scent and even fell asleep outside her room, which his father discovered. The Luna also had concerns about the future and the promises they had made. Meanwhile, an unknown Alpha received information about Elle and made plans that involved his Beta and the Beta heir. The story is filled with complex relationships, power dynamics, and the mystery of Elle's past and future within the werewolf pack.
