In the mysterious world shrouded by moonlight, a thrilling story is about to begin.
In the hospital corridor, the doctor's excited voice broke the silence: "Congratulations, Ms. Jackson! You have the special mark of the moon on your body. You will give birth to not one, but two new lives for our tribe." Nellie Jackson stood there in shock. This news was like a heavy bomb, shattering her world. "Pregnant? Or twins? How is this possible?"
Nellie staggered out of the hospital, holding the ultrasound photo of the baby tightly in her hand, full of confusion and bewilderment. She couldn't believe that she would be pregnant with two wolf babies after spending only one night with Chief Killian. However, the blow of fate did not stop there. Before she could recover from the shock, a photo suddenly popped up on the screen of her mobile phone. In the photo, Chief Killian was laughing and drinking with a beautiful woman in a sexy bikini on a boat. Nellie was instantly consumed by anger. She immediately called a taxi and resolutely told the driver: "Take me to the Moonwalker tribe, now!"
The taxi sped along the long and gloomy road and finally stopped in front of a huge yacht. Nellie rushed out of the car and walked straight to Killian. She snatched the wine glass from the woman's hand and smashed it to the ground to vent her anger. The bikini woman screamed in horror. She looked at Nellie and seemed to understand something, but she didn't intend to back down. "Huh! What a vulgar guy. She doesn't know who she is provoking." Nellie looked at her coldly and said angrily: "I am the true partner of this leader. Do I need to say more?" Nellie was furious inside, but on the surface she tried to remain calm. The woman tried to refute, but seeing that Killian had no reaction, she could only say helplessly: "I'll go do something else." Then she left sadly.
Nellie sat down next to Killian, her face as calm as the sea before the storm. "Have you had enough fun?" Killian smiled contemptuously: "As long as you are here, I will continue to play." Nellie's heart was hurt by his words, her brows were furrowed, and her eyes were full of doubts. "Do you really hate me so much?" "You are just an ordinary person from a small town. Don't expect me to care about you." Killian said arrogantly. Nellie's heart sank to the bottom, and her face was full of disappointment. "Then why did you promise to be with me forever?" Killian looked at her, with a flash of irritation in his eyes. "If it weren't for our grandfather, we would never meet. Don't be so self-righteous." "Are you saying that you will never like me?" Nellie asked with a glimmer of hope in her eyes. "Don't dream of having any place in my heart." Killian responded coldly.
Nellie's heart was completely broken at this moment. She clenched her fists and shouted angrily: "Then let's end this marriage! Divorce!" Killian paused the champagne glass in his hand and looked at her in surprise. "Have you really decided?" "As long as you don't care about me, our marriage is a lie. There is no reason for us to stay together." Nellie said firmly. "You are very determined." Killian realized that she was serious, "I will respect your decision." After that, Nellie stood up and left. But after a few steps, she turned around and looked at him again. "But if..." "Don't tell me you regret it." Killian laughed. Nellie's voice trembled, but her tone was extremely firm: "Chief Killian, let us never meet each other like the sunrise and sunset. The sooner the better."
Time flies, six years have passed. Nellie's plane landed in the territory of the Moon Walker tribe. She got off the plane and her cell phone rang suddenly. Nellie walked forward while answering the phone, and her hat covered half of her face. She was wearing loose black clothes, but her elegant temperament was difficult to conceal.
At the airport, people noticed that Nellie was with her three children. The children all wore sunglasses and followed Nellie with luggage carts, looking very eye-catching. Since Nellie never looked back, others didn't know whether these children were her own.
When they approached the exit, a tall man was waiting there. Ben, the oldest child, took off his sunglasses, walked up and looked at the photo in the man's hand. "This photo..." Ben looked up at Nellie who was still concentrating on talking on the phone, "Nellie, is this your photo?" The girl in the photo was plain-looking, but her eyes were firm. Although there was nothing special about her, she did look like someone from a small town. Nellie frowned after seeing the photo: "Yes, it's me." Ben joked: "That's... really interesting. You look like you just escaped from somewhere!" Nellie didn't care about her son's teasing. This photo was taken when she was in her hometown, just to keep a souvenir. She didn't like taking pictures, so she only had this one photo in her phone, and she didn't think there was anything wrong with it.
The airport staff looked at Nellie carefully and asked, "Are you Ms. Nellie Jackson?" "Hello!" Nellie nodded. The staff compared the photo with Nellie herself, and a look of surprise appeared on their faces.
Donna, the youngest child, smiled and said to Nellie, "Nellie, looking at this photo, people might think you've had plastic surgery!" "Nonsense! Nellie is naturally beautiful!" Tony, the oldest child, patted Nellie's head to defend her. He always liked to protect his mother.
The airport staff thought the children were Nellie's brothers and sisters, and smiled and said, "Ms. Jackson, your brothers and sisters are all very cute." Nellie looked at her children. She found out that she was pregnant with twins during the prenatal check-up, but later found out that it was triplets. But she loved her three children very much and had always longed to have a close and warm family. "Wait here for a while. I'll take them out." Nellie didn't think there was any need to explain more. "Okay! Take your time." The staff smiled. "Nellie, it's okay. Grandpa is waiting outside. We can find him ourselves." Tony said. "Are you sure?" The three children nodded immediately. Nellie believed that the children could take care of themselves. "Okay, tell Grandpa I'll be back soon." "Okay!" Ben confirmed.
Nellie followed the airport staff out, where a car was already waiting.
After they left, Tony took his brothers and sisters and said, "Let's go." "Tony, I need to go to the bathroom!" Donna said. Tony looked around and saw a bathroom nearby. "Okay, hurry up." Donna handed her Barbie doll to Tony. "Take care of Eliza for me, Tony. I'll be right back."
After coming out of the bathroom, Donna fixed her hair and prepared to leave. But she accidentally bumped into someone at the corner and fell to the ground. "Oh, no." Killian heard the sound and saw the beautiful little girl on the ground. He walked towards her.
"You bumped into me." Donna said in a slightly childish voice, and her big sunglasses failed to hide her displeasure. Killian couldn't help but find the girl's behavior interesting. He squatted down and reached out to help her up from the ground. "Are you okay?" Donna's response was interrupted because she was attracted by the handsome man in front of her. She has always been unable to resist good-looking faces, and some features of this man made her feel inexplicably familiar. "Of course I have something. Who knows what other injuries I have," she replied playfully. Killian checked her carefully and found no signs of any injuries. He smiled and asked, "Can I take you to the hospital?" "No," Donna said firmly, "but you can give me your phone number. If anything happens, I will contact you through WhatsApp." She took out her phone in an imperative tone and added, "Let me scan your QR code." Killian found the boldness of this cunning girl very charming, and without hesitation took out his phone and opened WhatsApp, an application he rarely used and was just an extra icon on the screen for him.
After scanning Killian's QR code, Donna nodded with satisfaction. "Very good, Mr. Handsome. If necessary, we will contact through WhatsApp!" "Where are your parents?" They had been chatting for a while, and Killian couldn't help but notice that the girl's parents were not present. Donna frowned and muttered, "I haven't seen my dad yet." She shook her head and walked away. Killian watched her leave and laughed. What a smart little girl. "Let's go, Tony." He shouted. Tony looked at his sister and asked, "Why did you take so long?" Donna smiled mysteriously at him and replied, "I met a handsome uncle next to the bathroom. He was so handsome that I thought he was some kind of celebrity, but unfortunately he wasn't." Tony was not interested in Donna's fanboy idea and walked in front of her.
Ben approached Donna and teased, "Can he be more handsome than me?" "Actually, I think he looks a bit like both of you. Well, especially Tony." She nodded seriously. Ben secretly glanced at Tony's back. This little guy is really handsome. I can already imagine that he will become a heartbreaker in the future. "If Tony is so handsome, what do you think our dad will look like?" Ben asked, imagining what his father looked like. "He must be very handsome too!" Donna exclaimed dreamily. "Oh. We may be too handsome." Ben sighed.
Just then, Tony shouted, "Grandpa!" Donna turned around and saw an old man standing nearby. Although his hair was already gray, the triplets had a strong sense of familiarity with him. "Grandpa!" Donna yelled, running over to hug Wade. "Grandpa, I missed you so much!" Wade held the little girl in his arms, his hands shaking with excitement. They had been in touch through video calls for all these years, and he was excited to finally see his great-grandchildren in person. "I missed you too!" he said with tears in his eyes, looking at the other two boys. "Grandpa!" Ben walked up to Wade and hugged him tightly. "Alright, alright!" Wade didn't know what else to say. The Jackson family was small, so he cherished this moment very much, looking at the three children with tears in his eyes. Tony, a reserved child who rarely showed emotions, just smiled faintly. "Let's go back now! We'll talk later!" Wade said, leading them to the car.
Meanwhile, at Prosperity Technologies, the office was full of discussions before Nellie arrived.
"Did you hear? The programmer coming today is a woman." "So what? It's not unusual to have a female programmer. It's not earth-shattering news." "The male colleagues are counting on her to boost office morale. But you haven't even seen the new girl's photo yet. Those people in the design department already feel like they've lost!" Several female employees chatted at the front desk, giggling. "Really? Are you serious?" "I have her photo here. Take a look!" One girl pulled out her phone and showed the others a photo of Nellie. "Oh my god, is this photo from the eighties? Did she grow up in the village?" someone commented. "I know! How can anyone have that style in this era? She may be pretty, but her fashion sense is really questionable." "No wonder those people in the programming department are desperate!" The girls pointed at Nellie's photo and laughed at her appearance.
Suddenly, the elevator dinged and the doors opened.
The manager came out, bringing Nellie with him. "Follow me, Ms. Jackson," he instructed.
Nellie followed the manager, wearing oversized sunglasses to cover her face. She didn't like to wear makeup when traveling, which was influenced by Donna. Over time, she got used to it.
The girls at the front desk quieted down when they saw the manager.
They greeted him in unison.
"Go make some coffee."
"Okay!" A receptionist hurried to make coffee and stole a glance at Nellie before leaving. Wow, where did this beauty come from?
"I'm sorry to bother you and call you here, but we have a difficult problem." The manager explained.
"It doesn't matter. I have free time anyway." Nellie replied.
"Great. Let's go. The programming department is over here." The manager said, leading her to the office.
The girls gathered together again and continued to whisper. "Who is she?" "I don't know. I've never seen her before!" "Could she be a celebrity?" "Unlikely. Celebrities are usually accompanied by assistants. Besides, the manager's tone doesn't sound like she is a celebrity." "Come on, let's take a closer look."
Meanwhile, in the programming department, the manager clapped his hands to attract the attention of the busy employees. "Hi everyone, this is Ms. Nellie Jackson. You may have heard of her. She will officially join us next Monday, but I asked her to come here today to help us complete the final stages of the project."
The men in the programming department were stunned when they saw Nellie.
Nellie took off her oversized sunglasses and greeted everyone: "Hi everyone. I am Nellie Jackson. I am sorry that I didn't wear makeup today, so please forgive me for looking tired."
When she took off her sunglasses, the whole office, including the men in the programming department, the girls who laughed at her before, and the manager, were stunned.
Nellie has porcelain-white skin.
Her perfect oval face sets off her dark eyes, although not big, but like stars twinkling in the night sky. Her long hair falls to her waist, adding to her charming temperament.
Is this still the woman in the photo?
Nellie was tired of the long welcome ceremony and felt that she could have solved the problem more efficiently. The rumors she heard about their problem on the way here gave her a basic understanding of the problem, and she could have solved the problem quickly in twenty minutes.
However, Nellie decided to deliberately delay the resolution. She knew that this problem had been bothering the department for a long time, and if it was resolved all at once, it might make others feel uncomfortable and unfair. Nellie thought that sometimes it was better to consider other people's feelings and not be too conspicuous.
After successfully resolving the problem, the project manager was amazed at Nellie's hard work. "Ms. Jackson, thank you for your efforts today. I will treat everyone to dinner as a way of welcoming you. Just consider it your welcome dinner.
