This's a story about Cara, a woman in a desperate situation. At an upscale hotel bar, Cara's credit card is declined while she's trying to enjoy a drink. Alone in a strange city with no friends, income, or prospects, and on the run from her violent ex-husband Christopher, she faces the possibility of being thrown out. Eros Kahzan, a tall, handsome, and powerful man, intervenes and pays for her drink. He then offers to take her to dinner, and Cara, despite her initial hesitation and suspicion, agrees. Over a meal at a Greek restaurant where Eros is treated with great respect, they have a conversation. Eros is curious about the person Cara is running from, but she's reluctant to share. After dinner, Eros offers to get her a room at the Drake Hotel, and Cara, tempted by the offer of a warm and safe place to sleep, accepts. In the suite, they share champagne and kisses, and their attraction intensifies as they explore their desires. The story follows Cara's journey as she navigates this unexpected encounter and the potential pleasure and danger that come with it.
