Lyka and Kiro are the male and female protagonists in the novel *His Sexual Addiction*, a work that delves deep into human nature and social realities. In this novel, the female protagonist, Lyka, is a young girl from a poor family who goes out to seek employment in the hope of improving her family's difficult situation. With great anticipation, she takes on the role of a maid in the Gustavo family's mansion, expecting to bring a better life to her family through hard work. The male protagonist, Kiro, is the son of the mansion's owner. Unfortunately, he is afflicted by a rare disease called satyriasis, which robs him of the ability to control his sexual impulses, plunging his life into chaos and struggle. *His Sexual Addiction* tells a story full of pain, despair, and struggle between the female protagonist Lyka and the male protagonist Kiro, who is tormented by the disease.
Lyka's family is mired in poverty. Her father is seriously ill and bedridden, and his temper has become increasingly irritable. Her younger brother, Dodong, suffers from long - term malnutrition, and her younger sister, Datdat, is in frail health. The family's life is extremely difficult. In order to support the family, Lyka resolutely sets off on the journey to work in the mansion. Despite her mother's deep concerns and her father's strong opposition, she embarks on this unknown journey with a glimmer of hope for the future. Along the way, hunger and fatigue accompany her, but Lyka perseveres with her indomitable will.
After arriving at the mansion, Lyka faints due to hunger. Expecting severe reprimands, she is surprised when the mistress of the house and the housekeeper, Linda, not only refrain from blaming her but also show their care. This makes Lyka feel the long - lost warmth and fills her with anticipation for her future work. However, reality deals her a heavy blow. When getting along with the other maids, Joday and Doday, Joday's sarcasm and meanness make her endure much grievance. The cruel turning point of fate occurs on the night when she delivers dinner to Kiro. Kiro hugs her from behind and violates her. Lyka struggles desperately but to no avail due to the disparity in strength. She loses her virginity in fear and despair.
Devastated, Lyka is filled with anger and despair. She decides to expose Kiro's misdeeds to the mistress and Linda. However, when she overhears a conversation between the two by chance, she discovers that they have long known about it and intend to use money to silence her in order to protect Kiro. Lyka is plunged into deep despair and helplessness, realizing that she seems to be trapped in an inescapable trap. Just as she is at a loss, the mistress discovers her and asks if something has happened between her and Kiro. To keep her job and for the sake of her family, Lyka suppresses the pain and humiliation in her heart and chooses to lie. The mistress mistakenly believes that Kiro's condition has improved and even invites a doctor to discuss a new treatment plan. The doctor explains in detail the satyriasis that Kiro suffers from, which makes Lyka's heart full of contradictions. She hates Kiro for what he has done to her, yet also feels a bit of pity for his illness.
