Elsie's life takes a tragic turn when she suffers an unexpected miscarriage. In the third week after the surgery, during a follow-up check-up with her husband Godfrey, he abruptly leaves. Little does she know that he is rushing to the side of his first love, Sirena.

Elsie watches Godfrey's hasty departure and begins to question the meaning of their marriage. However, on their wedding anniversary, Godfrey shows up unexpectedly to take Elsie out for a big meal. He tries to make amends, promising not to contact Sirena anymore. But just as Elsie is about to respond, his phone rings with news of someone's fever, leaving the future of their relationship hanging in the balance.
