Zera's sister Tatiana is getting married to Owens, who was Zera's boyfriend for three years. Zera's mother, Betty, asks her to be the maid of honour despite knowing the situation. At the wedding, Zera reveals the truth about Owens and her relationship, causing a scene and leaving.

After leaving the wedding, Zera goes to the Paradise Club. There, she meets Kevin, who bothers her until Aaron Hart steps in to defend her. Zera passes out at the club, and Aaron takes her to his place. The next morning, Zera wakes up in Aaron's house, and he explains what happened. She learns that he called her friend Diya three times but couldn't reach her.

Diya tells Zera she's on a trip with her boyfriend and took the hostel key. Zera realizes she has nowhere to go. Aaron offers her to stay through the weekend, and they have a conversation where it's clear they're attracted to each other, but Aaron is concerned about Zera's motives. Zera assures him she wants him for himself, not because of what he's done for her.

Later, Zera asks Aaron if he would want to be with her if not for the idea of repayment, and he says yes. They cook lunch together, flirting throughout. Aaron reveals his family mines gold and is in town for business. During lunch, Aaron expresses his desire for Zera but also his concern about hurting her. Zera says she wants to be with him, and they share a kiss.
