On that day, it happened to be the fifth wedding anniversary of him and Cassy. Even though Cassy's attitude towards him had changed drastically after marriage and she even hated their daughter Melvin, Richard still wanted to save this marriage and specially went to a jewelry store to choose a gift. However, in the store, he encountered the humiliation of Selina, Cassy's friend, who mocked him for being poor and unworthy of entering the store. Richard endured it silently and finally bought a bracelet that Cassy had once liked in another store.
When he returned home full of joy, he found that his daughter had a fever. Fortunately, she was taken care of by the neighbor. At night, Cassy suddenly showed up and brought divorce papers with her.
