The story revolves around a young girl named Darliana, who was abandoned as a baby by her birth parents in a perilous situation and later found and adopted by a kind family. The luxurious design of the company's cafeteria overwhelms her, but she finds solace in the kindness of Mrs. Willy, an experienced cook who welcomes her warmly. Despite her nervousness, Darliana throws herself into baking, creating simple yet delicious desserts that are quickly devoured by the employees.
However, her day takes a turn for the worse when she accidentally bumps into one of the company's cold and intimidating figures, Leonardo (Leo). Her clumsiness and fear provoke a harsh reaction from him and his subordinate, Felix, leading to a frightening encounter that leaves Darliana shaken and in tears once she returns home.
The next morning, Leo, after hearing about the new baker's exceptional desserts from his friend Adam, decides to visit the cafeteria. There, he witnesses Darliana's innocent joy as she tastes her freshly baked strawberry cake, only to be startled by his presence. Adam tries to ease the tension with laughter, but realizing Darliana's discomfort, he explains her condition to Leo.
Moved by her vulnerability, Leo approaches Darliana and gently cleans her face with a handkerchief, attempting to soothe her fears. In this moment, there's a subtle shift in the dynamic between them, hinting at a potential development in their relationship.
The narrative also introduces other characters, such as Lorenzo, Leo's twin brother, who handles darker aspects of the business, and Daisy, a co-worker who becomes friendly with Darliana. Through these interactions, the story explores themes of personal growth, overcoming challenges, and finding one's place in the world, all while set against the backdrop of a powerful and somewhat mysterious company.
