On the fateful day of Roxane Alvarez and Diego Rios' long-awaited wedding, the Galan Hotel was filled with anticipation. The grandest banquet hall was decked out in all its finery, with flowers in full bloom and guests dressed in their best, eagerly awaiting the ceremony that was set to begin in just ten minutes.

Roxane, a vision in her elegant wedding gown, was brimming with joy as she prepared to walk down the aisle and start a new life with the man she loved. However, her world was about to be shattered. Diego, with a troubled expression, approached her and delivered the bombshell: "Roxane, I have something urgent to do. We have to postpone the wedding."

Stunned and unable to comprehend what was happening, Roxane's face drained of color. She pleaded with Diego, "The wedding is about to start. Can't you handle this after we're married?" But Diego's eyes were filled with anxiety as he glanced at the banquet hall behind her. "It's really urgent. Postponing it for two days won't matter," he said before turning to leave.

Roxane instinctively grabbed his sleeve, desperate for an explanation. "What could be more important than our marriage? You owe me a reason." Diego hesitated, then finally admitted, "Something happened to Leila Byrd."

The name sent a shiver down Roxane's spine. She knew all too well about Diego's past relationship with Leila, a love that had once been so intense he had begged his parents to cancel their engagement. Now, on her wedding day, it seemed that history was repeating itself.

As Diego rushed off to find Leila, Roxane was left heartbroken and humiliated. Just then, Diego's mother, Mrs. Rios, emerged from the banquet hall. Her contemptuous gaze and scornful words added to Roxane's misery. "Where is Diego?" she demanded. When Roxane told her he had left to find Leila, Mrs. Rios didn't hold back. "What kind of woman are you? You can't even keep your man on your wedding day."

Diego's sister, Mina, chimed in, "Not only are you not beautiful, but you're also uneducated. How can you compare to Leila Byrd?"

But Roxane had had enough. With newfound strength, she declared, "We broke up. He chose his ex-girlfriend on our wedding day. There's no more engagement or marriage between us."

Mrs. Rios and Mina were taken aback by Roxane's boldness, but they quickly regained their composure and continued to insult her. Enraged, Enzo Alvarez, Roxane's brother, stepped in to defend her. His angry outburst led to a heated exchange with Mrs. Rios and Mina, who finally scurried away in fear.

With the wedding in ruins and her heartbroken, Roxane worried about her grandmother, who was terminally ill and had hoped to see her married. It was then that a chance encounter changed everything.

As Roxane was struggling with her emotions, a handsome stranger in a black three-piece suit came to her aid. After he helped her regain her balance, Roxane, in a moment of desperation, asked him a life-changing question: "Mr. Flores, will you marry me? Just for a year. In exchange, I will save your sister."

The man, Sébastien Florès, was shocked by her proposal. But when Roxane explained that she knew him through her brother and promised to save his sister, he was intrigued. After a long, silent moment, he agreed.

And so, when the wedding march played once again, Roxane entered the hall on the arm of Sébastien. The guests were in for a surprise as they witnessed the unexpected turn of events.
